MEMBER SERVICES
SalvageAuto.com is the industry’s first Search engine for salvage and rebuildable vehicles. This is a free reference site for potential buyers (i.e. dealers, rebuilders), to search for vehicles by criteria such as, make, model, year, location, seller, dealer only auctions…plus many more. The results are listed and the vehicles matching the search are hyper-linked to the seller. (The link can go to a sellers web site or SalvageAuto.com’s Smart Page.)
For example, say a licensed dealer is looking to buy a Ford Contour. The results of the submission are listed in this easy to read format:

The dealer will then click the link and SalvageAuto.com has successfully done its job. When the potential buyer gets to the site, the seller then deals directly with the buyer to approve registration, take delivery on purchases, and everything else associated with the seller’s bidding/buying requirements.
Our database consists of thousands of auction vehicles…from auction/salvage pools…from across the country. We are helping sellers increase buyer base, drive traffic to web sites, and increase sales. How to Add
Auction Listings If you are interested in expanding your buyer base and getting your auctions listed in our database, please register and contact us. All Sellers: There are several ways to get your list of auctions on SalvageAuto.com:
Go to "Add Vehicles" page where you can enter your auctions into our database from your own computer.
If you have a web site with your auctions available for bidding on it, we can take the list from there and insert it in our database (per your permission).
If you have your auctions on computer, please contact us to make arrangements with SalvageAuto.com to provide your auctions in our lists.
If you can only fax or email the list, please contact us.
No matter how you can get us your list, we will work with you to make it as easy as we can to get your auctions listed in SalvageAuto.com’s results. Remember, SalvageAuto.com’s search is a free service!
We are marketing SalvageAuto.com to only industry-related businesses, i.e. rebuilders, licensed dealers, etc. in an effort to give your business the best buyers in the country.
We have created a Template for you to easily build your own Smart Page (or, online brochure). Once registered, you can access this utility from anywhere on SalvageAuto.com. Simply follow the step by step instructions – and be creative, you can always go back and make changes. Plus, it only takes a few minutes to build.
Here are the elements that make up your page:

*Keyword Search is a special service from SalvageAuto.com. Users can search within SalvageAuto.com for a directory listing, or business from a keyword search field. The database will search for keyword matches and display the results.When you are entering your page information, enter keywords related to your business that a potential customer may use to search for your business. For example, if you are a salvage yard, use may use keywords like, Salvage, Yard, Towing, Parts, Rebuilder. When the user enters a matching keyword in our directory search field, your business will be listed in the results.
Update Smart Page
Update your Smart Page at any time with, Specials, New Web Site, New Location, Special Services, Change your Company Description, Update your Company Information…etc. As a member, you can access your own page, at your convenience, to make any changes you wish. It’s included as part of your Directory package with SalvageAuto.com.
Use this feature to keep your online brochure up-to-date with your business. Feel free to change your page picture, text, association memberships, anything you want. Have your User ID and Password ready.
Car Finder (For interested buyers)
Use Car Finder to place a constant search for any car(s) you wish to find, buy and/or bid. Our system will notify you via email when there is a potential match. It’s quick, it’s easy and SalvageAuto.com does all the work. Read "What is Car Finder" to learn more.
Car Wanted (For interested sellers)
There are more than 350 cars listed in our Car Finder. You can browse the list to look for cars you have in inventory, ready to sell, that match the car someone is ready to buy. Read "What is Car Wanted" to learn more.
WHAT IS…
Add listings enable auction vehicles to be in our searchable database. There are several ways to add listings, please contact us or read "How to Add Auction Listings" for more information.
Give your business an online "brochure" on one of the industry’s most visited web sites. It’s like a fancy yellow pages listing, or your own online brochure, or your company web site. Even if you have a web site, your Smart Page can be an additional way to advertise. If you don’t have a web site, then this is the best way to have an Internet presence. You can advertise weekly specials, easily update your page with new services, change your company description or additional comments – it’s all up to you.
Each Smart Page falls under a Directory heading related to a line of business. The Directory is categorized by business type. The full list of directories is listed on the home page and accessible from anywhere on SalvageAuto.com. Any user can easily search and find the type of business they’re looking for. If a user searches for a car and it’s not in the system, Car Finder allows the user to tell the system to be in constant search mode for a wanted car. The system will conduct an ongoing search (for an unlimited time) for the car and when the car is added to the database, the system automatically notifies the user of a potential match. This can save the user hours and days of time from constantly looking for the car they want.
Car Wanted is simply the list of vehicles from Car Finder. Sellers should browse the list to look for cars they have for sale that match cars in Car Finder.
